Keep your business front and center of the public eye with current trends, market watch, and co-op marketing opportunities through the Chamber Workshop Series. Presented by the Small Business Development Center, each series is a 4-class workshop, conveniently scheduled, Tuesdays and Thursdays 7am-8:30am, with breakfast served. Each participant receives a Certificate of Completion at the end of the 4-class workshop. As the Cathedral City Chamber is the host agency for the workshop programs, Members pay $5 per class. Non-Members pay $20 per class. Workshop schedules are announced in the monthly Chamber newsletter, email blasts, Chamber website, City of Cathedral City website, and through our media outlets. Marketing and Public Relations
As a Member, the Chamber of Commerce will assist with the Marketing and Public Relations of your new business through its monthly In Business for Business Chamber newsletter; and, placing the spotlight on your business throughout the Chamber membership through email blasts, press releases to media partners in radio, print, television. Marketing assistance, tools, programs and workshops are available through the Cathedral City Chamber of Commerce in partnership with CVEP's Small Business Development Center and Lanza Tech program, free of charge.
Take your business exposure to the next level by gathering neighboring businesses and creating a "Business Cluster". By forming a Business Cluster, business owners have the additional opportunity to showcase their businesses through a group effort by co-op marketing and promotion, public relations, Special Events, etc. In forming a Business Cluster, your group of businesses can acquire a non-profit status of a 501c6 through the California Secretary of State's Office, opening the door to discounted benefits. A Business Cluster promotes the group and its group activities, not individually owned businesses.
As a member, you are welcome to display promotional material - brochures, pamphlets, flyers - in our lobby-Visitor Center. For an immediate connection with fellow members and the public, place an ad on the Chamber website or newsletter. Call the Chamber office about our marketing opportunities.

Mixers, Power Networking Lunches, Special Events...and, More!
Mixers: Cathedral City Chamber Mixers are a great means of networking while relaxing and catching up with friends and business associates from the community. Mixers are the 3rd Thursday of the month, 5:30-7:30pm, hosted by a Chamber Member. Hosting a Mixer is a terrific way to promote a business, a charity, special event or community service. Another opportunity to highlight your business is to donate a Raffle prize. The raffle drawing is one of the evening's highlights! The Mixer date and location can be found in the monthly newsletter, the Chamber website, and, our professional staff sends a gentle reminder with our e-mail blasts one week prior to the event. Cost: Member $5; Potential Member $10.
Power Networking Lunches:
Chamber Members gather for lunch the first Wednesday of the month to learn from a featured speaker on the latest economic trends, regional updates, proposed legislative actions and educational opportunities affecting the business community. Cimarron Golf Resort and Cello's Bistro host the Chamber Lunches. Cimarron hosts the gatherings in September, October, May and June; and, Cello's Bistro Resort is our host in November, December, February, March and April.
Reservations are required. Cost: Pre-Paid Member Reservation $25; Pre-Paid Prospective Member/Guest Reservation $30. All pre-paid reservations must be made by noon on the Monday prior to the Wednesday breakfast. If the reservation is made after 12 noon on the Monday prior to the Wednesday breakfast OR you choose not to not reserve and pay at the door, the member cost is $30; prospective member/guest is $35. If a reservation is made and you do not attend, you will be invoiced for the lunch. THERE IS NO CARRY OVER TO THE NEXT MONTH OR FUTURE EVENT. Special Events: The "State of the City Address", the "Orion Awards", "Oscar Night at the Pickford" the "Red & Golden Apple Awards", and, End of Summer Golf Tournament" are just some of the annual high profile events benefitting and sponsored by the Cathedral City Chamber of Commerce. Commercial Brokers Luncheon is a quarterly event giving Commercial Brokers with listings in Cathedral City the opportunity to network, share property and occupancy information, and, receive updates from City Leaders. The Chamber works with the City's Economic Development, supporting Economic Development plans, proposals and efforts in building a strong economic and tax base. The DACIE report and inventory list can be accessed on the www.DiscoverCathedralCity.com website. Commercial Brokers are paramount to Cathedral City's business community and to the City's future. Retail business is vital to sales tax generation, providing needed revenue for the City's General Operating Fund. As the City was incorporated in 1981, after the passage of the Howard Jarvis/Prop 13 initiative in 1977, it receives minimal property taxes; in fact, pennies on the dollar. Sales tax revenue is Cathedral City's lifeline in providing valued and needed services such as public works, Police and Fire to residents and business owners.
